originally raeuberkneissl.net was founded as a distributor for photographic artwork.
soon we discovered growing interest in classic analogue still and moving picturing services throughout the arts and imaging industry. based in munich, germany, we work together with partners worldwide and supply content for printing and online media, events, artist portfolios, ...

why do we do this?
as a group of photographic enthusiasts we enjoy the work with people and images. our goal is to keep the distinct look of photography alive and preserve the beautiful ambivalence of the analogue in a digital world.
who is the raeuberkneissl?
the raeuber kneissl (robber kneissl) was a south german folk hero in the nineteen-hundreds, a poor farmer that had to steal from the rich to supply his family. after years of being hunted, he eventually was caught by the police and executed, aged only 27, in 1902.
